Freemasons raise thousands for hospital ward with charity ball

Freemasons have raised £2,500 for a hospital ward as a thank you for the care the ward has given.

The Alexandra Masonic Lodge, which is based in Long Sutton, put on their annual Ladies’ Festival on Saturday, March 14, to raise money for the Breast Cancer Unit at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in King’s Lynn.

It follows the fantastic care the ward gave Debbie Bowd, the wife of the lodge’s Most Worshipful Master.

The event at the South Holland Centre in Spalding saw over 150 attend.

Worshipful brother Dave Buffham, said: “It was a wonderful event.

“The South Holland Centre did us proud and the catering and entertainment was fantastic.”
