Free fireworks fun at Spalding Rugby Club

Fireworks

This Friday sees a unique free event take place on the Memorial Field in St Thomas Road, Spalding Rugby Club’s ground.

Tulip Radio are compering a free firework display which is being organised with assistance from Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough and Roger Tuby Funfairs.

The event starts at 4.30pm with free rides on the funfair courtesy of Roger Tuby until 5pm.

There are children’s rides as well as the more traditional adult rides to keep everyone entertained.

Tulip Radio has organised a number of local entertainers who will be performing from a mobile stage on the field before the main fireworks at 7pm.

The organisers are very grateful to Spalding Rugby Club and the Grammar School as well as Queensgate Shopping Centre for enabling this event to take place and it’s hoped that it will be well supported by everyone.

Tulip Radio has enlisted the help of the Spalding Branch of the Royal Navy Association to provide various stewarding jobs and there are countless others who are giving their time.

We also hope that one or two young girls might feel inclined to add their names to the growing list of Tulip Queen hopefuls for the competition at the Spalding Christmas Light Switch on during the evening of Friday, November 28.

Judging will be live on stage in Hall Place and the winner will be the one who flicks the switch to turn on the town’s Christmas lights.

If you would like to know more about any of these events or you would like a ticket for the firework display and Roger Tuby fun fair, contact us at Tulip Radio 01775 712400 or email [email protected]
