Free festival is back

An eight-hour marathon of free music is being put on at Ayscoughfee Hall again this Saturday (July 26).

After a hugely successful first year, Ayscoughfest is back in the grounds of the historic building from 12pm to 8pm.
And some brilliant local acts will be on stage.

The full line up is:

  • 12pm until 1pm – Chris Martin. The singer songwriter says he has ‘a passion for performing 80s and 90s classics with a modern twist’ as well as ‘plenty of banter’. He’ll also be performing at the The Red Lion in Spalding after Ayscoughfest has finished.

  • 1pm until 2pm – Imm ‘n’ Err (BHDC Unplugged). Two of the four-piece covers band Adele and Jamie are playing a special stripped down acoustic set.

  • 2pm until 3pm – Morning Glory – The glory of Oasis in the centre of Spalding but without forking out a fortune.

  • 3pm until 4pm – The Ripsaws. The band that specialises in the blues will be bringing timeless tunes to the modern era.
  • 4pm until 5pm – Re-play 4. Get ready to unwind with a four-piece providing a host of host of classic covers with influences from jazz to rock ‘n’ roll and heavy metal.

  • 5pm until 6pm – The Rock School Bus. Standing in as a late replacement, some of the incredibly talented youngsters associated with the Rock School Bus will be taking to the stage.

  • 6pm until 7pm – Penguinz. Ice cool three-piece will be bringing contemporary classic rock covers from the 60s and 70s.

  • 7pm until 8pm – JamRoom. Headlining the event is JamRoom who are a ‘big vocal sound and blues rock’ band.

Ayscoughfest is a family- friendly event, so is an alcohol- free zone.

Attendees are encouraged to take their own picnic, though the cafe will also be open.

There will be games and stalls elsewhere in Ayscoughfee.

After the event, as well as Chris Martin’s gig at The Red Lion, singer and guitarist Meg McPartlan is also playing at The Water’s Edge on River Bank.
