Police are appealing for information after a collision between a jeep and a horsebox that left four injured and led to a horse being put to sleep.
The incident occurred on Quadring Road in Gosberton shortly before 4.15pm yesterday (Sunday, March 29) and involved a blue Jeep Renegade and a white Fiat Ducato horsebox.
Lincolnshire Police described the injuries of two of the four people taken to hospital as ‘serious’.
The road was closed until 3.45am this morning.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “Sadly, a horse in the horsebox at the time of the collision needed to be put to sleep.
“Our investigation is ongoing and we are appealing for witnesses to the RTC.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any recorded footage that will assist the investigation is asked to contact our Force Control Room on 101, please quote incident 289 of March 29.”
