Four arrested on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons after armed officers respond to Spalding town centre incident

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons following an incident in Spalding town centre yesterday.

Armed officers attended an address in New Road, Spalding, at around 5.20pm yesterday Thursday March 30 after police received reports of offensive weapons being seen.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “The four men, aged 45, 24, 23 and 22 , were arrested and remain in custody. They will be questioned in due course.

“A knife has been recovered. We are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident and whilst armed officers carried out the arrests, there is no suggestion the suspects had firearms.”
