Flags at the ready

The next two weekends will see two brilliant bands perform free proms concerts in South Holland.

First up this Saturday will be Holbeach Town Band which is playing at the WI Hall at 7.30pm this Saturday (September 14).
A spokesman for the band said: “Come along and enjoy a great evening.”
The following week, (Saturday September 21), it’s the King’s Lynn Town Band providing the proms at The Elizabethan Centre in Whaplode Drove.
It’s the fifth year the band has appeared at the centre and this year the theme is ‘anniversaries’ so music referencing that will be played alongside the usual Proms themes.
On the baton will be Steve Ingham and this year’s guest singer is Anneli Killen.
This event is free to attend but you’ll need to register your interest as numbers are limited to 165.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and there is a full bar and table service.
