Five-star Moulton Harrox seal title in style but Holbeach United beaten again

Moulton Harrox clinched the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division title with a 5-1 win at Stilton United on Saturday.

Needing just a point to be certain of the title, Harrox ran riot with Ben Allen helping himself to a hat-trick and skipper Billy King and Dan Lambe-Hyner also on target.

The win is Harrox’s 29th from 32 league games under boss Dave Panton and they have secured a second Premier Division title in four years.

Behind them, Pinchbeck United remain second after a 3-1 victory at AFC Stanground. Player/boss Ian Dunn (2) and Louis Sae-Be netted the goals for them.

Up in the ChromaSport PDFL, Holbeach United slipped to a sixth league loss on the trot after being handed a 2-1 home reverse by Newport Pagnell Town.

All of the goals came in the first half at Carter’s Park, with the Tigers falling 2-0 down before Jake Clitheroe pulled one bag.

More to follow.
