Five out of six singles wins has Tigers purring

Tigers C kept up winning ways in Division One of the Spalding League with a 7-2 victory against Drayman’s Arms A. They were 2-1 up after the pairs and then won five of the six singles with the only winner for Drayman’s being Richard Cooper, against Duncan Hunt. Richard Cooper, Simon Hill and Mark Horspool all had 180s and Hill hit an 18-dart leg in his victory over Kev Newton.
Consti A has the same winning margin against Lincoln Arms A and also went 2-1 up after the pairs and won five of the six singles. Lincoln’s only winner was Harry Walsh, against Jack Chilvers. Ben Chester hit a 180 but lost his game against Andy Bingham, who had an 18-dart leg. Sam Roberts also had an 18-dart leg, which was bettered by Chris Fidler with a 17-darter.
Abbey had a 6-3 win against Rose and Crown thanks to victories for Scott Lawrence, Dave Norbury, Dean Parker and Dan Firmin. Parker had an 18-dart leg.
In Division Two, Tigers B had a 6-3 win against Punchbowl thanks to wins for Leo Clarkson, Danny Goddard, Arthur Porter and Ian McCreery. Goddard had a 180 in his game and in the pairs had a 16-dart leg with Leo Clarkson in the win over Jordan Philpotts and Dan Mills.
Pied Calf had an emphatic 8-1 win against Consti D. Consti captain Ady Smith was their only winner, against Harry Faulkner. Calf’s Jacob Herd had a maximum 180.
There was another 6-3 victory for Green Dragon A against Drayman’s B. Going 2-1 up after the pairs, wins for Tim Hester, Callum Day, Jamie Robson and Andy Porter sealed victory.
Riverside Hotel had a 6-3 win against Green Dragon B, thanks to Steve Taylor, Carl Kirk, Kieran Twitchen and Tracey Baldwin. Jonny Pell had a maximum 180 in his pairs victory with Steve Taylor.
Ship Long Sutton won a tight game 5-4 against new boys Drayman’s C. The tie was swayed in the Ship’s favour after going 2-1 up in the pairs. Jake Hinta Penta and Travis Stapleton stretched the scoreline to 4-1 but a resurgence for the Drayman’s came with wins for Matt Peppercorn and Scott O’Connell. Brad Martin sealed victory thanks to a win over Shane Evans.
Lincoln Arms B won 8-1 at Moulton Harrox, where Jamie Harrox was the sole home scorer.
