First win of season for Sutton 2s

Milly Hastings put Long Sutton 1st ahead at City of Peterborough 4th in East Women’s Division Three North West. A brace from Hannah Baker completed a 3-0 win.
Sutton 2nd are celebrating a first win of the Division 4NW season after goals from Lisa Baker and Jasmin Gaborit-Carter secured a 2-1 win at St Ives 3rd.
A first-half equaliser from Josh Baker was not enough to prevent Long Sutton 1st team from dropping to the foot of the East Men’s Division 1N table.
Hosts Cambridge City 2nd had taken the lead but Baker ensured it was all square at the break. However, City struck twice more without reply in the second half.
Sutton 2nd fell to a 4-0 defeat at City of Peterborough 4th in Division 3NW, while the third team lost 7-3 at City of Peterborough 6th in Division 5NW, after goals from Alex Canham (2) and Adam Croxford.
Sutton are through to the next round of the England Hockey Mixed Cup. They were awarded a 5-0 win over Dereham after their Norfolk opponents scratched from the competition.
