First ten-mile league win for Chappell

The battle is very tight at the top for the ten-mile championship this year.

Matt Chappell took his first ever win in the ten-mile league beating Frazer Wallis by just one second with a time of 22:25. Last week’s winner Chris Ward rounded out the podium just a further 14 seconds back.

Dom Brand put in a solid ride for fourth overall and fastest road bike on the night with a 23:34, pipping Nigel Swepson by just a second.

The midfield battle rages on also with Gareth Richards sixth (23:50) just clear of Mark Booth (24:08) and Dan Warner also only one second back.

Evegeniya Brand again won the women’s category, five minutes ahead of Samantha Briffett.
