Fintastic time making a splash

A swimming school is celebrating five years since it dived in to opening its pool in Pinchbeck and ten years in business.

Billie’s Fins rose eyebrows when it had planning permission granted to turn a building on Enterprise Way into a swimming pool.

In 2020 owner Billie Whyatt saw a need to invest in a private pool to offer more welcoming facilities at a time local pools were closing.

Heated to 33 degrees, it has separate off pool side changing and showers and a dedicated area for parents and carers to sit and relax.

The Pinchbeck pool has become a vital therapeutic resource with people travelling from all over Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire to use it and its fully accessible with accessible facilities.

“We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come over the past ten years,” said Billie. “Our mission has always been to create a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment for our community to learn and enjoy swimming.

“We look forward to many more years of making a positive impact.”

Over the summer Billie’s Fins plan to celebrate their ten-year milestone with various events including opening for dedicated adult swimming and fun splash times. All information is on the Billie’s Fins website and social media.
