Next year’s Spalding Festival is promising ‘A Little Bit’ more with chart topping band Liberty X the first headliner to be confirmed.
The band currently containing Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young will top the bill at the Spalding and District Round Table and Spalding Spalding Ladies Circle event.
Formed from contestants on reality show Popstars, the band are known for their huge number one single ‘Just A Little’ as well as eight top 10 hits including Got To Have Your Love and Jumpin.
Local businessman Matt Clark has taken on the running of this year’s festival, his last with the Round Table due to age restrictions on membership.
“From the outset we have promised to make this year the best to date,” he said. “I’m thrilled to be adding a dance arena and community stage to the festivities, but the main stage deserves to be centre of attention.
“It is great that we will still be playing host to some amazing regional bands, but we wanted a headliner with chart success and are happy to announce that 00s sensation Liberty X have agreed to play our event.
“This is not the only headliner that we are announcing in the coming days, and we have lots more new activities up our sleeves too.
“I am excited to be making so many improvements to the event and ensuring that it remains an important community and charity event across Lincolnshire.
“I’m further elated that ticket sales are already over three times that of even our most successful year.”
Second release tickets, offering £10 off the weekend package, will be taken off sale if not sold out by Sunday (April 28).
