Spalding Festival is set to be even bigger and better as it returns for 2019 this weekend.
This year’s Spalding Round Table event is both an indoor and outdoor spectacle promising even more fun for all the family than before at the Castle Sports Complex.
Not only is there set to be the usual fantastic array of beer and cider to try alongside fantastic food and brilliant live music over two stages.
This year’s event will also include a giant 6×3 metre screen showing films outdoors as well as footage of the bands playing indoors.
Also new for this year will be a craft fair showcasing the creations of a host of local talents.
Festival chair Matthew Cole said: “It’s nice that Spalding has something like this to replace the Tulip Parade and we’ve been working on the feedback last year to put on another fantastic event.
“This year’s festival is indoor and outdoor.
“Bands playing inside will be screened outdoors for people to enjoy.
“We’ve also got two fantastic family films being shown on the screen with Frozen on Saturday morning and The Greatest Showman on Sunday morning.
“We’re proud to showcase the best of what the local area has to offer and that includes food and refreshments with the likes of Laddies ices and Oh My Cod joining us this.
“We should also be having more fun fair attractions for the kids this year and water zorbing.
“We’re excited too about the craft fair which has 20 different stalls.”
The event starts Friday night with Revolver headlining.
The acts continue across Saturday and Sunday, culminating in something a little different on Sunday night – a 90s disco night.
A host of ticket options are available starting from £10 for a weekend ticket which will allow you to dip in and out of the festival all weekend.
Main sponsor Bakkavor has snapped up a number of those for its staff.
“The weekend tickets are proving popular, which is great,” Matt continued. “We’ve had a fantastic response from sponsors and we’re at the right number we need for volunteers.
“It’s set to be a great event for all the family.”
