Festival on the menu

Get ready to tuck in to the Holbeach Food Festival.

The free-to-enter event is back in Carter’s Park on Sunday, September 3, from 10am to 4pm.
The wide range of food available will include authentic Mexican, Indian, Caribbean, falafel, hog roast, award-winning pies, artisan burgers, smoked meats, Lincolnshire hot dogs, loaded fries and much more, plus plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too.
Sweet-toothed visitors will enjoy ice cream, waffles, doughnuts, milkshakes, crepes, candy floss, handmade chocolate plus a huge selection of cookies and cakes.
Young visitors can even take part in free cookie decorating sessions hosted by Cook Stars South Lincs (providers of local cooking classes and workshops for children).
There will also be bouncy castles and face painting to entertain youngsters.
Holbeach Mobile Bars is providing a fully licensed bar with a selection of beers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks for everyone to enjoy in a beach-themed beer garden with

live music.
The ever-popular Holbeach Town Band will also be performing.
Royals Gym is once again hosting its annual Lincolnshire’s Strongest contest at the event, featuring athletes competing in a range of gruelling events, cheered on by the crowds.
Trade stands will be selling a wide range of food and drinks to take home, plus a variety of crafts.
Local organisations taking part include Holbeach Air Cadets, Holbeach Women’s Institute and The Samaritans.
