Fenway marked their final ever season in the Spalding Sunday Football League with a trophy-laden presentation evening at the weekend.
The bash took place at Brennans Sports Bar – which will become both their main sponsor and their new team name next season.
The evening began with an emotional speech from club stalwart Joel Newton, who gave his review of the season.
The highlights he touched upon included the heroic 0-0 draw against league winners Pinchbeck United, which proved the only points the champions dropped all year.
He also commented on the memorable 2-0 victory away at Murrow Bell, which was very much the team’s turning point and led to eight consecutive wins to help secure fifth place in the league.
Joint bosses Scott Phillips and Dave Endersbee then presented the awards, with young Kit Ives earning the clubman gong.
Top scorer was Josh Maguire, who bagged 16 goals in all competitions.
The players’ player award deservedly went to defender Scott Burrell, with keeper Ant Murphy the managers’ player.
