Female Tigers a roaring success

Holbeach United have launched a junior girls’ team which is already proving hugely popular.
Sessions only started three weeks ago for those aged five to ten years old, but there’s already 30 girls signed up for sessions at Holbeach King’s Academy on Pennyhill Road.
Coach Sarah Jane Hollowell hopes to get teams playing in leagues when they restart in September.
“The sessions so far have been amazing and I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of interest we have had,” said Sarah.
“Women’s football is growing all the time and it’s been amazing to be able to offer this opportunity to our community.
“I’m determined for this to grow for the girls and hope to create a full pathway for them to progress through.
“We are currently doing ages five to ten but will be looking at older teams as we progress forward.”
Training sessions take place from 1pm to 2pm.
Sarah is looking to hear from potential new players, coaches, sponsors and general hope.
