This week’s featured Pride of South Holland nominee is Flinders Founders, a group that’s helped improve a village.
The person who nominated them wrote: “I believe this group is unique, hard-working, selfless, responsible, innovative, and quite amazing and the fantastic work they do for the community of Donington should be recognised.
“I know of no other voluntary, community, youth group which is run by young people for young people. Its aims are set out in its constitution which are to promote a positive image of young people in Donington, improve the village for young people, build young people’s skills and confidence, create new friendship, inform individuals and organisations of the needs of young people, work with other organisations to make Donington a better place to live, and maintain and develop Flinders Founders Teen Park in Donington.”
