Event to mark Parkinson’s week

A local support group is holding a coffee morning as part of Parkinson’s Awareness Week.

The Spalding and District branch of Parkinson’s UK is putting on the event at Pinchbeck Village Hall on Thursday, April 20, 10am to 12pm.
They’ve organised it in response to the number of people newly diagnosed with the condition in the district, coupled with a NHS ‘post COVID’ backlog.
A spokesman for the group said: “This open invitation is for anyone with questions and concerns about themselves, family, friends, and interested parties to come along; to chat, gather information and see what is available locally on a regular basis.
“On offer is a warm welcome, free tea and coffee and chat about the condition plus local options that are available and which might be of help.
“We are looking forward to seeing you.”
