Enya’s Eco-awards success

A Crowland pre-school is celebrating after winning a national environmental award.

Enya’s Childcare was named Eco-Friendly Early Years of the year – topping last year’s Highly Commended in The Nursery World Awards.

It was the first time the category was added to list available for entries.
Directors Enya Mooney and Arron Last were also highly commended once more in the Pre-School of the year.

“We could not be more excited to win the Eco-Friendly Early Years Award. Our team has worked so hard to ensure everything about our practice is in keeping with our eco-friendly ethos and we are always amazed by our children’s enthusiasm and passion for the environment,” said Enya.

“Whether it’s planting flowers around town, corresponding with Sir David Attenborough or recycling on behalf of our community, they give it their all.

“We are excited to keep nurturing their sense of responsibility and love for the world around them,” she added.

The pre-school has also been busy fundraising for Peterborough Women’s

Aid this year, tending community gardens and protecting wildlife. It already has a prestigious Eco School Green Flag.
