Enjoy a beautiful day out at Ferry Meadows

Imagine somewhere beautiful, safe and unspoilt where you can walk, cycle, play, horse-ride, ride a train, go fishing, exercise the dog, jog, push the buggy and explore endless meadows, lakes and woodland – all less than three miles from Peterborough’s busy city centre.

You’ll find all this and more – including cafes, hard-surfaced routes for wheelchair users, a busy events and activity programme and endless opportunities for outdoor recreation at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough.

Lakeside, which opened in April, provides a hub for activity and relaxation within Ferry Meadows as the home for Nene Outdoors, a new watersports and out door activity venture and Lakeside Kitchen & Bar, a contemporary dining and function venue at the park.

Start your day out at the visitor centre and you will be able to find out everything you need to know.

Ferry Meadows is the focal point of Nene Park, and is easy to get to with excellent links to the city and surrounding countryside.

From Saturday until June 1, youngsters can take part in the free Half Term Trail.

Collect a trail sheet from the visitor centre and hunt for clues on a walk around Ferry Meadows. Return to the visitor centre to collect your prize.

The trail is free and runs from 10am-3pm.
