England ladies’ captain at Town’s open day

England ladies’ captain Heather Knight is attending an open day at Spalding Town Cricket Club on Sunday, August 28.

 
The 25-year-old, who has been a regular in the England side for several years, will be taking a ‘masterclass’ training session with the Spalding Town ladies’ team.

 
The event at Town’s St Thomas’ Road base will include multiple matches, children’s entertainment and coaching sessions.
Junior matches will run from 10.30am-2pm with a president’s match then taking place at 2.30pm.

 
The club’s Academy awards presentations are scheduled to start around 5pm.

 
Town’s 200 Club prize draw will also be held on the draw along with a raffle which has prizes ranging from a holiday break to signed memorabilia.

 
There will be food and drinks available throughout the day for both players and supporters.
