Engineers help out school

A school’s entrance has been given a spruce up thanks to volunteers who work at a Pinchbeck food manufacturer.

St Mary’s School in Weston has been given some much needed improvements by staff from the Woodhead Bros (Morrison’s) site in Brunel Road.
Tina Ellis, the Community Champion at Woodhead’s, said: “The school asked for our help earlier in the year, as the entrance had become very run down and not particularly family friendly.
“We are always keen to help and have volunteers from our site go out into the community to carry out projects that will make a difference.
“Whilst we were working on the entrance people passing were saying how lovely it was looking.
“We all worked really hard and the weather made it much harder.
“Myself and the engineering apprentices really enjoyed the hard work but all felt that we had made a huge difference to the school and the community.”
