Spalding Water Polo Club hosted its annual end-of-summer tournament at Bourne Outdoor Pool on August 29, marking the conclusion of the club’s outdoor training season.
The event featured men’s teams from Spalding, Grantham and Northampton competing in a round-robin tournament, while women players from all three clubs combined to form two mixed teams for a full match.
The day provided plenty of competitive action and highlighted the continued growth of the women’s game across the region.
Northampton emerged as the overall winners of the men’s competition after a series of closely contested matches.
Following the tournament, Spalding return to training at Spalding Castle swimming pool and will begin its Hertfordshire League campaign in September.
