Emily helps other mums

A Spalding mum has launched a support group for fellow mums in the area.

And the members of Emily’s Support Group for Mums community on Facebook is set for a first meet at a Teddy Bears’ Picnic this month at Ayscoughfee Hall.

It was set up by Emily Faulkner.

“I was a young mum at 19 with my daughter Sophia and I have gone through so many stages of feeling lonely bringing my daughter up,” said the now 22-year-old.

“I wanted to stop mums feeling the same.

“It’s helped me build my confidence and now I feel I’m able to help other mums out there.

“I’ve had loads of good feedback and it’s good to have made so many friends who you can always go to to ask and offer advice.”

Emily’s group has 136 members at the time of writing and the Teddy Bears’ Picnic will be their first meet up.

The picnic is on Wednesday, April 18 at 12pm.
