Electrical retailer aims for a younger clientele

Boston’s oldest independent electrical retailer is hoping to appeal to a younger clientele with a shop floor makeover.

Dawson’s, in West Street, has been serving customers in Boston and surrounding area since 1961 and is proud of its history.
So much so, its slogan is “a local company with our own local service – since 1961”.
Dawson’s is a family-run business offering a wealth of knowledge and experience to customers.
It specialises in TV and audio sales and service, electrical contracting jobs, aerials and installation, LCD, plasma, Blu-ray, DVD, CCTV and security systems and installation and PAT testing.
They are stockists of Panasonic, Linsar, Samsung and Toshiba and also have a TV and audio repair shop, Linsar service centre and undertake warranty work for Linsar.
They are currently in the process of giving the shop floor a makeover and modernising throughout the shop to offer and showcase the latest technology.
They are hoping the makeover and the latest technology will appeal to a younger clientele.
As well as expanding the lines they offer, Dawson’s can now offer Smart TVs and installation, as well as the latest 4K Ultra HD and Curve televisions.
A spokesman for the company said although they are hoping to attract younger customers, they strongly believe in keeping existing customers happy and offering an excellent level of customer service.
He said: “We are a well-established business with experienced staff, offering a complete service, from choosing the correct TV or audio system to offering a survey on your home for custom made wall mountings for your system.”
