Eco Club gets busy picking litter

Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School has responded to requests from their pupils to pick up litter in and around the school area.

Reception teacher Emily Patman’s Eco Club has received donations from Spalding Wombles and has enjoyed patrolling the community area outside of school to pick up litter.

Mrs Patman said: “We found the most litter right next to the benches and around the bins.

“The most common item that we picked up was cigarette butts.

“We don’t understand why grown-ups and children drop litter, especially when there are so many bins.

“The children all know to take litter home with them or put it in a bin.”
