Earth and Townsend keep Moulton ahead

It’s as you were in the Dor-Jan Peterborough and District League with Moulton two points above Uppingham Town.
Goals from Declan Earth and Joe Townsend gave Bobby Patterson’s leaders a 2-1 win at Leverington Sports on Saturday.
Their scheduled game with Tydd on Tuesday was called off due to a water-logged pitch and will now be played on Thursday.
Uppingham remained two points behind after beating Crowland Town on Monday night and they were due to play Holbeach United Reserves on Wednesday.
It came after the sides met in the final of the Peterborough Senior Cup at Deeping Rangers on Friday night. Uppingham came out on top and still on course for a league and cup double as they ran out 4-2 winners.
After going 3-0 up, the Tigers came roaring back thanks to a Jordan Keeble double but Uppingham sealed it late on.
Wednesday’s meeting was set to be the third time in a week the pair had played after earlier drawing 0-0 in the league.
Holbeach United Sports rounded off their Division One season with a 3-2 loss to title-chasing Sawtry Town. They’re currently fourth in the table but sides below them still have games to play.
Tydd Reserves earned a big 6-2 win at home to Kings Cliffe in Division Two while Crowland Town Reserves beat FC Peterborough Reserves 2-1 with goals from Kyle Warner and Jake Woodward.
Liam Bills and Ben Partridge netted for Sutton Bridge United in Division Four as they drew 2-2 at Warboys Reserves while Adam Fitch was on target as Long Sutton Athletic Reserves lost 1-3 at home to Deeping United Reserves.
