Early Christmas for Crowland slimmers

Members of a South Holland slimming group are getting in early with their festive celebrations.

The group has already lost a total of 120 stone so far this year, and they marked the start of their annual season slim down with a pre-Christmas celebration, complete with decorations and party food.

“Christmas is a magical time of year and the weeks running up to it are often full of fun celebrations. If you’re feeling unhappy with your weight though, it can also be a very challenging time,” said Maria Walmsley, who runs the Crowland group.

“If you have already embarked on your journey, you might worry that the busy run-up to Christmas, the temptations and the cold weather could derail your weight loss campaign and you will end-up reaching January struggling even more,” she added.

The group launched is Believe in a Slimming World Christmas – Let the Magic Begin campaign in style.

“We threw a cracker of a Christmas party with a great big buffet of deiicious party food. We wanted to remind ourselves that you don’t have to miss out on any of the festive fun when you’re watching your weight,” said Maria.

There is still time to join the group and lose weight in time for Christmas.

Members meet every Thursday at 9.30am at the Royal British Legion. Call 01775 712271 for more information.
