Duo notch trebles as Mulberry blast eight past South Holland United

Tyler Wright and Reece Harker both helped themselves to hat-tricks as Mulberry cruised to an 8-1 John Chappell Shield success over hosts South Holland United Claret on Sunday.

Brandon Harker and Josh McGuire also got amongst the goals as Mulberry showed no mercy to the Spalding and District Sunday League’s basement boys.

Joshua Bowers did reply for Claret, but it was mere consolation.

Elsewhere, Sutton Bridge United handed hosts Jubilee a 4-0 beating at Monkshouse Playing Field in the League KO Cup to book their place in the last four.

Rob Hook, Kurt Scott, Joe Sutton and Adam Thompson all bagged for Bridge, who will be hoping to go all the way to the final.

Another side into the semi-finals are Swineshead Institute Sunday. They cruised to a 7-1 home triumph over Punchbowl Tigers and join Mulberry in the last four.

The other quarter final between favourites Holbeach United Sunday and struggling Pinchbeck United Sunday was rained off and will be rescheduled.
