Double delight for Steve after back-to-back wins at Tydd Gote Angling Club

Steve Borrett made it two wins out of two with his victory at the latest Tydd Gote Angling Club Sunday club match at Main Road.

There were no tench this week, but Borrett found the rudd feeding well to his maggot hook baits fished at 4m and 5m to catch on and off through the day from the first platform above the bridge.

By the end he had put 12lb 11oz in his net for the win, pushing Andrew Kilby into second place with his 10lb 8oz from the concrete to similar tactics.

Pete Emery came in third with 8lb 4oz from peg three mostly perch caught on worm but topped up with a few good rudd on the waggler, with Don Green in fourth with his 5lb 7oz of roach and rudd from the first half peg above the bridge.

Wednesday Open: 1st Ian Benton 6lb; 2nd= Don Green and Dennis Houghton 4lb 8oz; 3rd Archie Greenwood 4lb 5oz.
