Double championship delight for Spalding rider Creasey

Spalding ace Morgan Creasey rode to two British championship wins as the series moved to Brands Hatch last weekend where he was named the rider of the round.

With rain forecasted for Sunday, Creasey looked to clinch the championships by Saturday, adopting a strategic approach in both qualifying and racing.
Starting off strong in the Thunderbike Ultra qualifying session, the 25-year-old secured a respectable fourth position on the grid, primed to make a move in the main race.
In the Clubman 1000, Creasey battled through heavy traffic but still managed to qualify in a commendable 12th position, securing second place in his class.
Race day kicked off with excitement as Creasey took to the track for the Thunderbike Ultra races.
In the first race, he maintained his fourth-place starting position, patiently following the frontrunner until a last-lap mistake from another rider allowed him to seize third place, earning 16 critical championship points.
The second race saw a repeat performance, as Creasey again finished in third, securing the points needed to claim the Thunderbike Ultra Championship title.
The Clubman 1000 races presented new challenges. The opening race took place on a wet but drying track, and although Creasey started strong, he focused on preserving his tires, finishing seventh overall and second in class.
The subsequent race, however, proved trickier as an incorrect suspension setup hampered his speed.
Still, Creasey’s resilience shone through as he ended up first in class despite an eighth-place overall finish.
With both championships secured ahead of Sunday, Creasey embraced the final day of racing with a sense of freedom and enjoyment.
The conditions improved, allowing him to take on the Thunderbike Ultra races on slick tires.
He delivered an impressive performance, finishing second in both races after intense battles on the track.
The Clubman 1000 races continued to test Creasey, where he made significant adjustments to his bike’s suspension.
His hard work paid off as he secured a first-place finish in class during the final race, clocking a personal best lap time of 48.922.
In an unexpected twist, Creasey was honoured with the prestigious Vince Bennett Memorial Trophy, awarded for the best overall performance of the meeting. “I’m incredibly humbled to receive this trophy,” Creasey said, reflecting on his achievements.
With sights set on the future, Creasey plans to elevate his racing career by moving to the British Superbike (BSB) Superstock class for the 2025 season, promising to bring his Honda Fireblade to new heights.
The weekend at Brands Hatch not only saw him celebrating his victories but also set the stage for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.
