Doorman pleads not guilty to GBH

A Spalding resident will stand trial at crown court on a GBH matter.

Jacob Mizio (29) is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent on Mateusz Ignas on May 15, 2022.
Mizio, of Double Street, appeared before Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to plead not guilty to the offence.
He was working as a doorman at Spalding nightclub XO at the time and the alleged offence occurred outside the Westlode Street premises.
The bench declined jurisdiction and sent the matter for trial at Lincoln Crown Court.
Mizio, who was granted unconditional bail, is due to appear there on August 2.
