Diabetic workshop at U3A

Sutton Bridge U3A (University of the Third Age) are hosting a Diabetic Education Workshop on Tuesday (November 1).

Lisa Master, the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme for this area will be at the Curlew Centre from 1.30pm.

Frank Heinrich-Jones of Sutton Bridge U3A said: “Lisa kindly gave a very interesting and though provoking presentation to the Long Sutton Men’s Shed last month which was very well received.

“We have invited Lisa to our next U3A General meeting at the Curlew Centre in Sutton Bridge to give our members and non-members alike the chance to hear how we might all prevent the onset of diabetes and our best to live with and manage diabetics.

“All are welcome however U3A apply a charge of £2 per non-members but you can join U3A Sutton Bridge on the day.

“You may find that you enjoy U3A and want to join us. We have many interest groups from archery, bridge, chess to table tennis and wine uasting plus many others. In addition, we hold our monthly general meetings with interesting speakers.”
