Developer helps Ukraine

A South Holland development company has made £1,000 donation to a charity helping the people of Ukraine.

Ashwood Homes handed over a range of items last week, including a fridge, chairs, pens, work gloves and hi-viz clothing.

The donation was given to the Boxes of Hope charity which has set up collection points including the Anglia Motel in Fleet Hargate.

“Like so many people in South Holland and around the world, we have been saddened by the reports we have seen on what’s happening in Ukraine and wanted to play a very small part in helping those most affected,” said Chloe King, sales manager at Ashwood Homes.

“Boxes of Hope is doing such an amazing job of collecting donations and then boxing and shipping them, so when they reached out to us we were keen to help,” she added.

Boxes of Hope has been taking supplies to Ukraine.

  • The Anglia Motel’s owner Harold Payne will be at Morrison’s, Pinchbeck, Friday, Saturday and Sunday collecting money for the Red Cross.

He has been at a different supermarket over several weekends with one of his military vehicles collecting money to help the charity which is working with the victims of the Russian invasion.
