Derby drubbing makes it eight defeats on spin for Spalding RFC

Spalding RFC’s miserable season continued on Saturday as they were hammered 62-0 at rivals Market Rasen and Louth.

The derby drubbing leaves winless Town rock bottom of the standings – and they’ve now lost all eight of their league games this season.

Struggling Spalding are now ten points off 12th-placed Newark, who they host next Saturday at the Memorial Field.

Midlands One East results (October 25)

Huntingdon & District 38 Derby 24; Ilkeston 30 Bugbrooke 3; Kettering 33 Belgrave 20; Market Rasen & Louth 62 Spalding 0; Newark 33 Paviors 32; Old Northamptonians 21 Syston 27.
