Derby date is drowned by deluge

The eagerly awaited south Lincolnshire derby between Moulton Harrox and Crowland Town in the GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League was postponed.

It leaves them fifth and seventh respectively in the table with games in hands on most of the teams above them.
Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Holbeach United Reserves might have been left wishing more rain had fallen at Deeping Rangers Reserves, where they were swamped 4-0.
It also proved to be a damp day for Long Sutton Athletic, in Division One, where they fell 5-1, despite facing a home team reduced to 10 men after just 10 minutes. Marley Hamilton’s goal had seen them turn round all square.
Better news for Holbeach United Sports though, who triumphed by the odd goal in five against Park Farm Pumas thanks to an own goal and a brace from Daniel Prince.
Whaplode Drove Rovers’ home clash with Park Farm’s second string in Division Two ended all square at 1-1 with Jordan Wood netting for the hosts.
Long Sutton’s Reserves were also beaten by four goals but Adam Crane did at least score twice in a 6-2 reversal at Bourne Town A in Division Three.
Whaplode Drove Rovers Reserves slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Ramsay Town Reserves but there was local joy in Division Four, where goals from John Ball, Declan Earth and Martin Sandall saw Moulton Harrox Reserves emerge 3-0 victors at Stamford Reserves.
