Dennis Harbour took the honours at the Grays of Holbeach Spalding and District Darts League’s open singles event.

Harbour saw off ace thrower Mark Horspool in the final at Spalding Services Club to bank the £150 top prize.

Horspool, who was defeated 3-1 by the champion, trousered a cool £75 for finishing as the runner-up.

He could also console himself by topping the statistical charts too.

Horspool made five 180 maximums on the night, which was comfortably the best of the night. He also made a cracking 143 checkout, which was the highest anyone managed.

Neil Glover and Duncan Glover were the beaten semi-finalists and each banked £25 for their efforts.

Hunt’s 3-2 last four defeat to usual doubles partner Horspool was one of the games of the tournament, while Harbour saw off Glover 3-0.
