The sentence of a man who admitted carrying out child sexual offences in the Spalding area has been adjourned so his defence team can get medical evidence on his behalf.
Daniel Brundell, now of Lode Avenue Bungalows, Upwell, Wisbech, Norfolk, was due to be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on 29 May.
But Recorder Anthony Hawks decided to adjourn the case so more medical evidence could be gathered regarding Brundell’s current health.
Brundell had been due to stand trial at Lincoln Crown Court in April.
But the 60-year-old pleaded guilty to five charges on the morning of his trial before a jury was sworn in.
The offences included four charges of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and one charge of sexual assault.
All of the offences were committed in the Spalding area.
After entering his guilty pleas sentence on Brundell was adjourned but he was warned “not to get his hopes up” and to expect a prison sentence.
He will also now have to register as a sex offender with Lincolnshire Police.
Brundell was granted conditional bail and will now be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on June 23.
