Death by dangerous driving charges

A man has appeared in court on numerous charges relating to a road traffic collision that killed a Whaplode Drove woman.

Amy Cooper died as a result of injuries sustained in the incident on New River Gate, Holbeach on November 13.

Shane Kelk has appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while driving disqualified, failing to stop and report a road accident and using a motor vehicle without a valid licence.

He’s also been charged with possessing the class B drug cannabis the day after the incident.

Kelk, whose address was given as HMP Lincoln, will appear at Lincoln Crown Court at a later date.
