Day centre Christmas party at Spalding pub

Christmas classics belted out during karaoke made The Punchbowl the most festive place in town on Thursday, December 14, during the Chappell Centre party.

It was the second year in a row the Spalding pub hosted a Christmas bash for the day centre used by adults with a range of learning disabilities.

Chappell Centre’s Abby Holland said that around 40 people attended the private party.

Coun Pete Williams, who runs The Punchbowl, said he was reminded on the day that 20 years ago when he first moved to Spalding and ran the Christmas party at the Chappell Centre.

This year Coun Williams manned the decks for festive songs and lined-up the requests for karaoke.

Pizza and chips were provided to party-goers and Coun Williams provided another trip back in time with CD copies of his Christmas single, released 20 years ago.

The Chappell Centre is at Pinchbeck Road, Spalding.
