Darts is tight at the top with four teams level

There were several postponements in Division A of the Pinchbeck and District Winter Darts league this week, but the table remains tight with four teams level on 25 points.

Royal Mail Cart continue to lead the way, holding top spot on leg difference.
Black Bull Kirton move into second place after suffering their first defeat of the season, going down 5-4 away at Lincoln Arms D.
Mark Graham and Chris Brinkley won the final two singles for the Bull to keep the scoreline close. Highlights included a 116 checkout from Lincoln’s Dan Gent and a 180 from Sean Baxter of the Bull.
Green Dragon A also reached 25 points despite a heavy 7-2 defeat at Consti Club B. Matt Broderick struck a 180 for the Consti, who now sit just one point behind the leading group.
In Division B, Kirton Leisure remain top despite not playing this week.
Green Dragon Z moved level on points with them after a commanding 8-1 home win over Consti Club A, with Harry Tucker hitting a 180 in his singles victory. Merv Pattinson claimed the sole point for Consti.
Services Club A climbed into third place with an 8-1 win against Lincoln Arms C. Zak Brown earned Lincoln’s only point, while Nigel Goodwin produced a 148 checkout but lost out 2–1 to Steve Booden.
At the foot of the table, Pied Calf lifted themselves off bottom spot despite a 6-3 home defeat to Consti Club D. Richard Barker provided the highlight with a 180 in his 2-0 win over Lisa Brooks.

Bottom of Division 1 in the Spalding Darts League Consti E caused an upset in the Supreme Cup semi final, beating Rose and Crown A 5-4.
They started off the stronger of the two teams and went 2-1 up after the pairs games and then Paul Blow and Ash Allen won their singles to put the Consti 4-1 up.
Hank Watson and Dan Carnell fought back and made it 4-3 but Josh Ford went on and beat Gary Mace to seal the victory for the Consti.
Paul Blow, Ash Allen, Hank Watson and Dan Carnell all hit maximum 180s, Hank had his in a 16-dart leg and Ash Allen had a fine 121 check out.
Consti will play Rose and Crown C in the final who beat Royal Mail Cart convincingly 7-2.
Rose and Crown went 2-1 up before Paul Faulkner levelled the scores but wins for Mark Horspool, Logan Goddard, Ant Richardson, Duncan Hunt and Colin Hatter sealed the fate and took a 7-2 win.
Mark Horspool was in fine form with two 18-dart legs and a 180, Duncan had a 17-dart leg and a 180, Richardson had a 17-dart leg and in the pairs with Goddard went one better and had a 16-dart leg.
In the Dick Morgan Cup Green Dragon A qualified for the final beating Holbeach Services A 5-4.
Dragon raced into a 2-1 lead but found themselves level before Mick Holstead and Finn Mottram won to stretch into a 4-2 lead.
Stu Stephens won to make it 4-3 but Chris Wing held his nerve and hit a 127 check out and a maximum 180 in his win over Chris Blakey to seal victory for the Dragon.
Mick Holstead had a 17-dart leg and Chris Chamberlain had a maximum 180.
Dragon will play Consti D in the final who beat Ship Long Sutton 5-4.
This was a nip and tuck game all the way before captain Ady Smith went on and beat Brad Martin to seal the win for Consti.
The Kelly Foster Cup will be between Drayman’s D who beat Mulberrys 5-4. The all-important win cam from Jordan Philpott who beat Wigs Harrison 2-1 to get the win, Emma Tickner also had a nice 111 check out for Drayman’s.
Drayman’s will play table topping Pinchbeck FC who won 7-2 against Green Dragon B. Pinchbeck were strong throughout and won two of the three pairs games and five singles games in a row with the highlight being a 17-dart leg for Tom Elderkin.
