Dance legend at Springfields

A legendary DJ is to bring the Ibiza vibes to Spalding in February thanks to a junior football club.

Dave Pearce is playing Ibiza Classics at Springfields on Saturday, February 4, in the fundraiser for Spalding United Youth Football Club.

The former host of Dance Anthems on BBC Radio One has played at the biggest clubs around the world.

Next month he lands at the Springfields Exhibition Centre alongside supporting DJs Shaun Neal and Samm and Rich Dee.

Spalding United Youth’s Mike Pallett, said: “We held our AGM and threw some ideas around for this season’s fundraising.

“We encourage our players to dream big and when someone suggested a local, large-scale over 18s event we all thought why not!?

“We contacted local DJ Shaun Neal for help; his son plays in one of our U13s teams, and he used his network to put us in touch with Dave Pearce and his team.

“Our club has around 220 local children ranging from 4 to 16 and we like to hold a presentation evening in June to celebrate and round up the season.

“Proceeds from the Ibiza night will go towards trophies for the players and if there’s anything left over we also need some new goal posts!”

Tickets for Ibizia Classics with legend Dave Pearce are available at www.eventbrite.co.uk and cost £25.
Doors open at 7pm.
