Daffodil display to delight this weekend

A new display of daffodils is set to be on display at Springfields this weekend.

In celebration of this wonderful year for daffodils, Springfields has a free display of competition-quality daffodils in the outlet, prepared by the Springfields Horticultural Society, and beautifully manicured Spring walks throughout the gardens. This includes the Taylors Bulbs displays, Daffodil of the Year, Daffodil Walk, Lincolnshire Daffodil Society Display on the Main Lawn, Delft Blue Art, Jean Art and Shopping Mall Garden Display. The displays have been put together in conjunction with Taylors Bulbs who have won 24 consecutive Gold Medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with similar displays.

Look out for the White Lady circa 1897 Division 3 which is one many rare varieties.

The gardens are open for free and the special displays are on show from Friday April 16 to Sunday April 18.

In line with the government guidelines, Springfields outlet, shopping and gardens have reopened fully.

Please check the website for full opening times.

Andy Boyton of Springfields Horticultural Society, Head Gardner said: “This is a wonderful year for daffodils, tulips and other bulbs. We’ve put together outstanding displays and welcome everyone to come and see them for free”
