Cup heartbreak for Moulton Harrox as Hykeham lift county crown

Moulton Harrox suffered extra-time heartache as they lost the Lincs FA Junior Cup 2-1 to Hykeham Town after extra time on Wednesday night.

The Sincil Bank final was goalless after 90 minutes, but only because Moulton keeper Lee Kenealy saved Steve Mehta’s penalty late in the first period.

That changed when Matt Easton’s back-post finish (101) fired the Sills & Betteridge Solicitors Lincolnshire Football League leaders ahead in the first additional period.

Macauley Grimwood levelled for ChromaSport Peterborough Premier Division high-fliers Harrox soon after the restart (106), but Josh Raby (113) headed home a late winner from a corner to give Hykeham the trophy.

Harrox: Kenealy, Groves, Coddington, Patterson, Johnson (Cairns 81), King, Barnett (Steadman), Grimwood, Law (Allen 69), Townsend, Bradbury. Not used: Hall, Earth.
