The first of the two May Bank Holiday sessions did not disappoint at the Adrian Flux Arena with another big afternoon of Bangers and Smash.
More than 140 cars were in the pits ready for battle at the King’s Lynn venue – and battle they sure did, with some very splintered and smashed up cars in each of the races.
The Michael “Bandit” Bailey Memorial race was the focal point of the afternoon, with almost 60 of the 2 Litre Bangers taking part in that.
Also on the line were the 1500cc Bangers and Reliant Robins on the line-up, as well as the very popular Ramp Rollover Competition event.
King’s Lynn based Wes Freestone took the main race, and while the South Holland drivers didn’t find success by winning races, Crowland’s Callum White made his presence felt in other ways.
A true banger racer, White was happy wrecking and happy racing.
He was in fine wrecking form in Monday’s racing, tackling two categories – the Reliant Robins and 2 Litres Bangers.
He took take home two very wrecked motors after being very heavily involved in the action all afternoon, a handful of trophies to add to his growing collection of
Entertainer awards to his credit and a third place in the opening race for the Reliant Robins.
- The next racing at the Adrian Flux Arena is on Saturday, May 18 (5.30pm start).
