Crowland stay in chasing pack

It’s looking tight in the chase to narrow the gap on early GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League leaders Uppingham Town.

They hold a five-point lead with the next six teams separated by just two points.

l Holbeach United make a long-awaited return to Thurlow Nunn League action on Saturday.
They welcome Wivenhoe Town to Carter’s Park, 3pm, after a three-week absence from competitive football, before making the short trip to Parson Drove on Wednesday.
That fixture drought has seen them drop to eighth place in the Division One North table but only four points outside the play-off places and with up to four games in hand on some of their rivals.
