Crowland make it 15 wins in a row

It’s 15 wins in a row for Crowland Town in all competitions as they won 2-0 at Sawtry in the Peterborough and District League Premier Division on Saturday.

Goals from Adam Blackbird in the 40th minute and sub Joe Strickland with ten minutes left earned Crowland the points.
This Saturday they take on Immingham Town at home in the quarter final of the Lincs County FA Junior Cup.
Also in the premier, Moulton Harrox ground out a 1-0 win at home to Oakham United.
In Division One, Whaplode Drove Rovers were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Peterborough Rangers.
Bottom of the table Long Sutton Athletic lost 5-3 at ten man Wittering Premiair Reserves, despite Jack Greenacre, Jamie Taylor and James Wand netting.
Klyden Lleshi’s double and goals from Daniel Leach and Andrew Wayte saw Crowland Town Reserves to a 4-0 win at home to Stamford Belvedere Reserves in Division Two.
Tydd Reserves also had a good win, second half strikes from Kai Scott-Hanson and a double off the bench by Anthony Bonnett saw them to a 3-0 win at Peterborough Polonia who finished down to ten men.
Sutton Bridge United fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Leverington Sports Reserves. Jake Lally was on the scoresheet for the hosts.
South Lincolnshire Swifts kept up their challenge for the Division Three title with a 3-1 win at home to Long Sutton Athletic Reserves.
Keilin Spurdens, Kieron McConnell and Thomas Coote were on the scoresheet at Monks House Field as was Lewis Horne with Long Sutton’s reply.
Also in the division, Whaplode lost 3-0 at Kings Cliffe.
In the Sunday Cup, Crowland Town completed a fine weekend for the club thrashing CSKA Emneth Reserves 5-1.
In Sunday Division Two, South Holland United lost 1-2 to PSV, despite Warren Hebblethwaite’s 55th minute effort.
