Crowland Town’s title tilt was hit by a first draw of the Peterborough and District League Premier Division season on Saturday.
In a hard fought derby at Deeping Rangers Reserves, the hosts took a third minute lead only for Adam Blackbird to level a minute later for the Bees. Archie Rickards made it 2-1 to Crowland and also missed a penalty. Deeping’s late leveller saw it end 2-2.
The Bees are third, six behind leaders Netherton, with two games in hand. In fourth are Moulton Harrox who lost 1-0 at home to fifth-placed Sawtry.
Crowland and Netherton’s reserve sides met in Division One where they drew 3-3. Adam Haywood with an injury time equaliser for Town with Haydon Henderson and Finley Rickards also scored.
