Holbeach Town and Country Fayre has been hailed the best yet thanks to a brilliant turn out.

The event took place at King’s Field over two days and had something for all the family ranging from martial arts demonstrations and a Hurricane flypast to art and craft stalls and vintage tractors.

Committee member Andy French said: “We’d outgrown our previous venue and this year moved to a bigger field and saw record crowds.

“The cabbage hurling was a big attraction and we had 90 classic cars which is the most we’ve ever had.”

The fayre raises money for various local charities and cheques will be presented later in the year.

Andy said the committee is looking for new members and helpers for next year’s fayre.

Anyone who wants to get involved should call Andy on 01406 490642.
