A cribbage fan who set out to play the game in all 39 historical counties of England before his 39th birthday next month completed the feat in Spalding.
Siv Sears has played it in pubs, clubs, a barge, a prison, a castle, an Indian restaurant and a guesthouse.
His record before he arrived at The Royal Mail Cart in Pinchbeck Road for the final encounter was 18 wins, 18 defeats and two draws.
And he made it 19 successes with a 3-2 overall win. He beat White Horse player and current Spalding and District League Under-60 Cup champion Barry Pepper, Stamford and District League secretary Margaret Bingham, and Bourne and District League chairman Betty Reet. Siv lost to Grantham and District League secretary Mick Parnham and president of Inter Town Cup and Grantham League, Chris Bland.
Siv said: “I have now travelled to every corner of the land to play cribbage and I must say that the co-operation and camaraderie amongst players in different towns and leagues in Lincolnshire is unique.
“There is a veritable cribbage hotbed in Lincolnshire – and long may it continue.”
